Cosyslabs is committed to making Unit Convert All accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.

Accessibility Features

• Keyboard navigation — All interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard. Tab, Enter, Space, Escape, and arrow keys are supported throughout.
• Screen reader support — We use semantic HTML elements and ARIA labels on all interactive controls, icons, and status messages.
• Skip link — A "Skip to main content" link is the first focusable element on every page.
• Dark mode — A high-contrast dark mode is available via the toggle in the header.
• Resizable text — All text scales correctly when browser font size is increased up to 200%.
• Colour contrast — Text and UI elements meet or exceed WCAG AA colour contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text).
• Focus indicators — Visible focus outlines are present on all interactive elements.
• Reduced motion — Animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query.
• Alt text — All meaningful images include descriptive alt attributes; decorative images are marked aria-hidden.
• Form labels — All form inputs have associated labels or aria-label attributes.

Command Palette (Ctrl+K)

Our site-wide command palette (Ctrl+K or ⌘K) provides an alternative way to navigate to any converter or page without using a mouse. It supports full keyboard operation.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some complex interactive components (such as the colour picker in the Colour Converter and the currency chart) may not be fully accessible in all assistive technology configurations. We are actively working to improve these.

Technical Approach

• Semantic HTML5 elements (nav, main, header, footer, section, article)
• ARIA roles, states, and properties where HTML semantics are insufficient
• ARIA live regions for dynamic status messages
• Logical tab order without relying on CSS position
• All pages pre-rendered (SSG) — content is available without JavaScript
